I have an almost done fm called back to basics, that i have no time to complete and would like to see someone adopt it and finish it.
It is about 80% complete with lots of custom models. but it is rather huge, so I would like to know if anybody is interested, How i would upload it, Possibly bit torrent but know little about it.
by the way I put tons of time into the fm and i will say that it really is very nice looking!
thanx

Wow, nice to know that so many people are working with T3ed these days :) It's a pity you won't finish it... I already have one big project to finish, but if noone else would volunteer, I'll gladly take it :)

There's a lot of part-completed missions around these parts.
I am kind of curious, but really, we're going to need screenshots - and probably quite a few of them (like 2-4 posts worth), especially if there's a lot of custom content.
And even if it does get adopted, there's a good chance that it will end up being rather different to how you envisaged it when someone else has had their chance to play, so you'll need to relax a bit about it, let your pride deflate a bit and generally be willing to let it go.
As for hosting, well, it's a simple file-swap, so megaupload, rapidshare, yousendit and other things like that should do the job for you: just check with who you're sending it too that method is okay - I have trouble with rapidshare because of my ISP, Judith has trouble with megaupload because of the country he's in and such like.
(Note - I'm not trying to disuade you: I think this could actually be a good thing, especially for someone less experienced with the editor or less inclined to do the art/layout bits, but this is a kind of big and scary thing to do - letting someone else play with your project)

People seem to be generally afraid of continuing someone else's work, no matter how close to finish it is. I posted my abandoned missions here as well and apparently none of them has been picked up. :erg:
Or has it ?

Maybe we should collect them if there were more than five...I have some work now, too (and of course I'm a novice still), but there should be some experts without ongoing projects around here.

I guess some kind of co-operation would be better than anything else with both have an image of what it is supposed to become. I'd always ask what the original author's plans were before working on it.

From what I've seen so far - I know if I took over someone else's map, I'd end up rebuilding a lot of it just for performance reasons, even if I did keep their general layout, story and so on. But that's a bit moot since currently I'm working on a level - give Judith a couple of months and he might have some time though :p

What about str8g8, Rantako, Bardic and STiFU? Barely heard of them lately...

I've got a ton of screenshots from inside the editor in flesh render, but don't have a clue how to put them here for people to see.
please explain to me how to do this.

Make a jpg file and put it to (
www.directupload.net) (at the moment much faster than imageshack). Klick "Durchsuchen" [Browse...] and then "Upload starten" (guess what it means). After a while you get a page with several offers and I'd ask you for layout reasons to klick the bb code next to the thumbnail and copy it into your post, so we'll all see this thumbnail.
