I had a kinda boring 4th. I wanted to do things, but I was too late.
Maybe next year.

I always sorta thought of the whole American Revolution being rather ironic in retrospect. Gotta love a country that was founded on treason.
Gotta love a country whose almost entire English speaking population was founded on the refugees of that irony. ;)
edit: By the way, on that note I've tended to think of the US Revolution, on top of the "revolution" part of it, as also our first internal civil war that actually ended up breaking the population in two (US "patriots" and Canada "loyalists"), but you don't hear that aspect of it mentioned very often (nor the fact that the US lost the War of 1812 and had parts of its homeland occupied) ... But that's history for you. It's however you want to spin it, and I guess it's convenient for a lot of Americans to gloss over those parts.

Morrissey's so
edgy. If you're 13.
I know, its charming. He followed it up with an observation that Kylie might not write all her own songs. He also took his shirt off a total of
three times throughout the evening, the old perv.

still, you cant deny his back catalogue, even if every depressed 14 year old thinks its the shit.

When hes not being overly mopy, his new stuff is almost as awesome (first of the gang to die FTW). Which is why people put up with his crap.

Yeah, at least we got to burn DC.

Lol, I was just about to mention that. Nothing like British Commandos setting fire to the White House in retaliation for the invasion of Canada.

cmon whats wrong with shooting off a couple rounds with the good ole 12 gauge to celebrate freedom? after all, isn't that how it was won? :ebil:
For the white folks at least. It took the best part of two centuries for black people to be afforded anything like the same amount of freedom.
"All men are created equal" - has a more sickeningly hypocritical phrase ever been uttered in history?

I can and will.
Apart from 'How Soon is Now', I've found nothing worth noting.
