No, they have better things to do than hang out with you.
(Because you're an uptight douche.)
I'm an uptight douche because I find the whole "420" thing cringeworthy? And that I'm tired of the same old stoner conversations?
Wow, I fail at life

Pretty much! Now run along and cry about how childish we are somewhere else
Someone who disagrees with the way you think about things and your response is to insult and isolate. How cute.

Hahaha you fucking pussy troll you didn't disagree with anything that's been said in this thread, you came in to shit it up because "420" (a blatantly non-serious cultural reference) got you all butthurt, don't try to act like you're contributing anything

Let's try something different, why don't you actually tell us what you think about legalizing marijuana?

If it was kept along the same lines as in Holland then maybe it would be ok. I'm not aware of any major problems with the legalisation there, other than a friend of mine being sick of the stereotype that Holland consists of a bunch of stoned hippies.
Its the idea that legalising it will solve a host of problems, medical and social etc.
In what way does legalising it benefit society?
* You could say it would be taxable.
* That with regulation there would be a cleaner weed ( I'm thinking of the links between cannabis and mental illness here, I'm should we've all heard stories about a bunch of Moroccans expanding the resin with motor oil/diesel/sawdust w/e which may or may not correlate with the increase in mental illness of young people. What does correlate is the use of cannabis and the increase in teen depression and schizophrenia ).
* Lower crime
Lets look at that last one. Marijuana cigarettes have been mentioned, thats been a fantasy of every pot head for I don't know how long. When I see kids smoking weed in alleyways I kind of just sigh. Cigarettes are legal and kids will always be able to get their hands on it, why would it be any different if weed were available over the counter?
Generally though the concept of "legalise it" spawns from a somewhat ignorant student attitude that everything will be great in a world of weed. I've had many many conversations from this viewpoint myself and over time I just realised how little people actually comprehended of what they were talking about. Ofcourse you'll be able to quote a bunch of doctors and maybe some scientists who are all for it, who can find no link between weed and anything bad at all. To which I reserve the right to disbelieve.

And that's what you think is going on here? If you bothered to look into it you'd see its not the case.
What doesn't help is your admission that you "reserve the right" to discount any evidence that legalising weed would not be harmful. What do you need, Jesus to come down and sing it to you sweetly? ffs

I don't really see the idea of "cleaner" stuff being thrown out there as a big reason in support. It's already so prevalent here that a lot of what gets sold medically is grown legally in the state, and a fair amount of that ends up in the hands of non-medical users.
As far as crime and kids, I don't think the argument is that kids will suddenly be unable to obtain it. Of course they will, just like they're able to get alcohol and cigarettes. It's more that you'll reduce crime by replacing the black market with a legal, regulated market, and once you do that, it'll be harder for kids to get it because the regulated pot shops will want to avoid selling to minors while the black market dealers don't care. And by killing the black market, you also help prevent it from using the kids themselves as dealers.
(For more anecdotes, at my high school it was easier to get pot than it was to get alcohol, because alcohol required a fake ID or asking an adult to buy some for you, while pot only required knowing one of the many classmates who could get pot because they had friends or siblings who were dealers.)
Also everyone already thinks California is a bunch of stoned hippies so this won't really change anything.
