Yeah but, living in Holland, I have a lot more anecdotes to share about people who started smoking weed everyday and became unproductive good-for-nothing slobs than I have anecdotes about people who smoke weed everyday and are still as productive as they ever were. My best friend just stopped smoking weed and became a lot more productive and energetic than she was before.
Not saying you guys shouldn't legalize it however, I'd love it if they stopped sending people to jail for smoking weed and if a lot of the crime around drug dealing went away.

From my personal observation (I know this is just anecdotal evidence but I have quite a few anecdotes to share on this matter) it's more like a lot of the people who smoke weed everyday
don't make choices and
don't take any actions, they just hang out with other stoners and smoke all day, and
that's why they mess up their futures. Not all of them of course (see Starrfall's example), but I've seen it go wrong more often than not.
