Could someone clarify whether there is any difference between Hard and Expert difficulty, apart from the mission goals? Do the aforementioned events, objects etc that appear on "higher difficulties" appear on Hard or only Expert?
Is there anything that appears on Expert but not on Hard? Thank you

Here's a stupid question. What happens to all of the custom characters, are they now made available to the community (open source) or will we never see a
horse or a dog
again?

As far as I remember, there are only some small differences between Normal and Hard/Expert, and almost none between Hard and Expert.

The only difference I see is shown in fortuni's walkthrough/loot list for misson 4, "Death's Dominion". The loot list differs between all three difficulty levels, and even concerning maximum loot possible. I think the loot items in question have something to do with the different goals. Check the loot list for more details; I did not pay too much attention to such things as long as I was able to complete the missions on any difficulty level.

Late to the parade as usual. Had to find out about TBP on Reddit of all places. A belated thank you to the dev team, can’t wait to start!

I know people who call themselves huge Thief fans who still haven't played The Black Parade even tho it's been out for over a year now. It's my favorite overall Thief campaign

I'm currently working on a spider free patch for a tester, but we've discussed making one public and that would take a bit more time to be up to standard.
Bear in mind that it's not actually possible to thematically remove all spiders from the entire campaign.
One particular part can have the AI removed but not the decoration without serious revision.Has this been made publicly available?

Not to sound disrespectful - I'm enjoying the game a LOT. But it seems to be too easy, even on expert? Pretty easy to just blackjack most of the guards, bunny hop around grabbing everything that moves and tada next mission. I'm trying to be subtle and read everything and it's super enjoyable but still I feel like some of the missions could definitely use stricter rules. For example if blackjacking and being seen was a game over. That would make sense in for example mission 7 (I'm there now). Maybe some others too. If I remember right, T2X did that sometimes and T2X felt at least 2x harder than black parade. Is anyone else's experience similar to mine at this?
Anyway, Black Parade is an atmospheric gift, thanks to all who participated in its creation!

No disrespect intended, but what stops you from spicing things up with your own adherence to stricter rules?
You can start by forgetting about blackjack - "Lytha style" (=damage done: 0 in the Stats screen), then if it's still too easy, try "ghost" rules (see (
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148523)) and, for the ultimate thrill, "supreme ghost" (same link).
A "forced ghosting" in the mission design must usually accomodate for casual players too, so it leads to reduced difficulty overall.

I didn't seriously consider for some reason, I might try that, thanks! Though my concern a little bit is that if mission's aren't designed for it, it might be a headache to do it. Especially when missions on Expert require exploring everywhere to get the loot.
