I have just finished the 3rd mission and so far it’s been great! Huge levels with so much detail. The only criticism I have is that even on expert level it’s way too easy. Hoping there is more of a challenge going forward.

so much more i could say but i want to reply on easiest setting so i can absorb more of the levels with less worry, expert was perfect but one level "restring the harp" i was not able to complete loot objective, everything else on expert was amazing
Funny, my very first run through in testing, that's exactly what I did, I started on normal. The read me, made me pause, I wanted to take it all in. I usually just jump to expert, I wanted to take my time. Expert, not much of a worry in the replay.

Hey dudes - I've lurked here for awhile, but I had to let ya'll know that this mod is incredible. I'm only through mission 5 and the pure joy and love that you guys put into these missions is so evident and delightful. Thanks so much for all of your passion and hard work. It's something I feel bad playing for free because I genuinely like it better than the Dark Project, and that was the first game that ever truly blew my mind and sucked me in. I want to send you guys money. I would pay like $70 for this easily, if not more. This is the sequel that never happened, and I don't think anyone will top this again tbh.
It's amazing how much attention to detail, how much fun all of the exploration is, and even with a fine tooth comb I pretty much end up missing between 300-600 loot every mission. I don't know how I can miss that much loot. Gonna need a developer guide at some point :)
I thought that the missions would start to fall off after a certain point, but I just finished The Brand and it was the best one so far. Each of these missions have been more enjoyable that most of the levels in Thief Gold for me. I'll be replaying this over and over again. All of the readables add so much depth and storytelling to the world. The voice acting is hilarious (so cool to hear all of you that I've been watching on YT. I could go on about this endlessly.
Anyway, I'm raving. Thanks so much for doing this, means the world to me. Can't believe I feel this way about gaming again. So proud of what you guys have accomplished with this.
ps - you guys should just start helping Dillon finish Gloomwood because your map designs are insanely good and I bet you guys could really expand the map size exponentially.
Much much much much love to ya'll

Thank you! 24 years ago I bought a game that has brought me and countless others nothing but joy and is a gift that keeps on giving. In a world where we work, we have families and responsibilities it is nice to escape once in a while and relax or so I thought when I downloaded and played this campaign. Thank you is not enough but we are all grateful for the sheer dedication and countless hours it took for this masterpiece to come to light.
Thank you for all of your families and the families of beta testers that agreed to allow you to dedicate your precious time to this project. This campaign will be remembered and replayed 1000 times over as the replay value is incredibly high. I hope that for some if not all of you, there are companies out there that recognize your obvious talent and that you get rewarded if game design is something you aspire to.
This old thief feels rejuvenated and his old rusty bones and blackjack will get some well deserved rest after all these heart attacks he suffered the last few days. In real life this thief is a doctor who will research a cure for Hume.....I once heard about some ancient scales in a long forgotten hospital that have known to cure....
Thanks again and thanks for making the sequel available 2024.... :weird:;):D
:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb: enjoy this beautiful day and thank you again from the bottom of my heart (also for the beautiful credits re: BBB, Lady Rowena) and all the taffers we lost over the years.
Its time to find them scales.....

The bug itself is pretty much negligible though , it just instigates slight inconvenience and i like seeing NPCs get up to no good hahaha

Both those bugs are pretty standard dark engine AI/pathfinding bugs when you get missions of this size and complexity, not much can be done about it unfortunately.

I haven't finished the campaign yet (2 levels left), but there's one thing that I have conflicting feelings about, regarding worldbuilding
I really like that you are expanding the size of the world of Thief by including all those stories about distant lands and other cities. At the same time, all that + other powerful artifacts kind of undermine the ones that we got already, make them less special in my opinion. What I mean by this is that the Eye for example, that artifact is world-ending in the right hands, but then we get all those new ones that are also very powerful, and there's a lot of them. Fan missions make it seem like there's a new powerful item behind every corner, which is something that made sense in the limited scope of something that was, well, not canon. However, The Black Parade seems to be constructed in such a way where it wants to be canon and it wants to expand it, and I think it's doing a great job. It would be boring and quite unsatisfying if this expansion was only leeching off the official canon, I guess I just wish there was less world-threatening stuff out there, because it feels *too* fantastical. I understand if people disagree here, just my two cents, I hope you know what I mean by all this.
Edit: Additional thoughts, it's not just the artifacts, but also introducing new gods and such. For example Trickster always felt to me like the type of god that isn't just one of many, he seems like the nature incarnate, something that predates humanity itself, something from the deepest abyss. To learn that there are other deity-like beings out there that aren't necessarily connected to something like that makes it feel a bit disjointed. I feel like this is one of the few things where saying less would be staying more faithful to the original trilogy. Again, completely understandable if you disagree with me on that. It's not an issue exclusive to this particular campaign, it's something I feel about every fan content that tries to expand lore and such.

It seems that Youtube channel "MandaloreGaming" has had an outsized impact on the Moddb voting.
The page jumped right back to the top 2 after his video review and the Top 100 scoreboard page has consistently shown new votes coming in for it.
Also, yahoo financial news covered it? ( lol )

I just wanted to pop in after playing a chunk of the first mission and congratulate the team making this. It looks and feels great! I'm trying to go in blind and I'm happy to see a mix of old and new (like the guy leading the blocky horse). I'll comment more after I've gotten further into the campaign.
