I don't know...but my mission just passed the 3MB mark, so I'm sure I still have a some room left. I've heard of maps as big as 7MB working, I think?
Glad to hear the contest deadline has been extended. I've worked on maps for Jedi Knight, Total Anihilation (not sure it counts), Unreal Tournament, Serious Sam, Thief 2, and Half-Life 2, but never finished any of them. This is the furthest I've ever gotten on a map for any game, and I'm determined to finish this time!

Well, it's the START date that's pushed back, not the deadline (although that of course is correspondingly pushed back). You will need to make a whole new mission for the contest, not submit the one you're working on now (it probably wouldn't fit in the size/area requirements anyway - and it's not filesize, but gamplay map size)
Don't worry, I'll have lots of clear details on the keep when the time comes, just basically wanted to say that there's no getting a head start, other than the benefit of gaining good experience.

Just chiming in to cheer you all on. I have seen some amazing fan levels for the first two thief games, and I know the t3 levels have even greater potential.
And tested or not, I would love to see that level. Let the fans test it for you.
