238 issues doesn't mean there were 238 different viruses. I don't know how AVG handles these things but many antimalware products will report a lot of mostly harmless stuff as issues. For psychological reasons: If the user doesn't find any issues he will stop using the software, because apparently he doesn't need it. Or so the thinking goes.
