Um, not much use for non-Americans...
Not as much, but it can be illustrative because it helps convey some key facets of what their day to life looks like
Quote:
A: Red Herring. I was addressing the "Americans just vote for him because they're stupid" angle. I'm countering that by saying that it's also about perspective and not just intelligence. If you're a Fortunate 500 executive, investment banker, defense contractor, etc. It's perfectly understandable why you would support Hillary. If you're in the rust belt and are now working 80 hours a week in minimum wage jobs and barely surviving it is perfectly understandable why they would support Trump.
B: If you're worried about TRUMP being devastating for the rest of the world, keep in mind that the candidate you're advocating for supports starting a war against Russia.

Also you know all the chaos going on in Europe right now? A migrant crisis, terrorist attacks, wars in Syria, tensions with Russia?
Hillary owns a lot of that from the Arab spring.

Forget my mind, look up Hillary's on the record quotes. If you want to dig a bit deeper start searching the leaked cables and emails.
So I've got to ask...massive immigrant surge from freshly war-torn regions, rising tensions with Russia, worsening economic situation. How well is that Obama/Clinton/Bush regime working out for you all?
Trump may very well be disastrous, but the fact of the matter is that the previous sixteen years of US foreign policy under the Kissinger school of thought(I don't distinguish in this instance because a lot of the key agency positions were the same between Bush/Obama) has been a complete disaster. Trump is unlikely to be worse simply because the results so far have been very far to the "bad" side of the bell curve. About the only way Trump could do worse is if he were to instigate World War 3.

I wouldn't touch your stupid survey with a 50 mile pole.
Also, your lamenting of caricatures who themselves are supposedly whining about caricatures has caused your hole to gobble up that entire part of your post I quoted. GGWP
Then feel free to ignore it, but know that I argue the positions that I do for a reason.
Also keep in mind that I just made my university a LOT of money (20%+ return in under 2 months with my suggestions) this way and I didn't do that by being wrong about what's actually happening out there. I simply called bullshit on the narrative regarding an "improving" economy for the country, researched some counter cyclical investments such as dollar stores, and picked out the best ones.
Meanwhile everyone who was all excited about "growing consumer confidence" and such got hit hard. My picks showed strong sales growth and the competition showed a decline, which was extremely confusing to them until the jobs report came out(which is much, much rosier than the real picture is). It's because they're too "bubbled" to understand that just because things are all hunky-dory on the Upper West Side doesn't mean it's great in bum-fuck nowhere Arkansas.
Here's why I bring this up. Who gives a rat's ass about how "stupid" and "uneducated" everyone other than your brilliant intellect is? It might make you feel good to hate the working class(while simultaneously whining about "the rich" ruining everything) but it's not useful. What is useful is having an accurate understanding of the socio-economic trends in play.
Where this comes back to Trump is that most of the discussion of Trump reveals an absolute, blazing, willful ignorance on par with anti-vaxxers or religious nutters. There is an enormous amount of data out there that clearly explains why something like Trump was to be expected this year and it's got very little to do with "racism" or "bigotry" or "hatred" as a root cause. The root cause is economic, and "bigotry" is a symptom, not a cause.
Go ahead and pour on the hate, but that won't change the fact that my predictions in this area have been completely correct. You can find posts by me from long before Trump announced his candidate predicting that 2016 would likely see a strong surge in anti-establishment activity. The only thing I was wrong about was thinking it would come from a third party challenge rather than being a party-internal revolution.

So are you telling that she should reward Russia instead for the first case of brutal violation of the Helsinki Act in Europe since 1975, as well as the first case of annexation since WW2? Perhaps Roosevelt also should have given heart to the Third Reich in his time?

I'm reminded why I don't follow politics. We're close to Godwin's Law coming into effect as well.

Which, of course, was too obvious. I knew it was gonna come from within. Reason being that we both know third party doesnt exist. If you arent in the puppet show, you arent in the show period. Everything is so riggged, it could only come from within. The only way a third party could get in, is if there is a complete revolution amongst the citizenry, which would result in military action and hopefully an overthrow of the gov. So doubtful. So rigged. You either vote for republican or democrat. As long as the masses do not understand that they are part of a rigged existence, they will happily continue on. To make the public aware is an impossible task. :)

Lol you people really have a warped view of the world. What planet do you live on? What country did Russia annex exactly? In the world I live in, Russia came to the rescue of a sovereign nation (Syria) that was being illegally invaded by a foreign force (the US). All that at the request of said sovereign nation. In the world I live in, the US instigated a coup in a sovereign nation (Ukraine) in a bold attempt to encroach on the sphere of influence of a superpower, one of two or three that represents a viable opposition to them.
If there's one country that doesn't respect the sovereignty of foreign nations, intervenes in their internal affairs and violates their frontiers regularly while having no regard for human rights, it's the US. And it's been doing that for the better part of a century... I mean, the illegal invasion of Cuba, the war in Vietnam, the complete destruction of Irak, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria, the coup in Ukraine, the training and arming of terrorist groups, the constant drone bombings of wherever they please, the mass surveillance, etc.
How many more countries do they have to annihilate for you to see what's going on? The US has been eating away at the Russian sphere of influence for years. Imagine if the Russians tried to overthrow Canada and put one of their puppets in charge. Imagine if they conducted drone strikes on Mexico whenever they pleased. Everyone would be calling for the UN to intervene. But when the US does it? Eh, it's fine, just good old Uncle Sam watching out for our interests. Have you stopped for a minute to think what the world would be like if the US had its way and got rid of Russia?

*spacetime continues to implode*
Desperate people have tried to put popular people in power since time immortal. That's no major revelation. Equating confusion with Trump and hating the working class isn't unique (or even correct in all cases) either, though it's amusing seeing how eager you are to connect those dots.
In more relevant news, I'm thinking of writing in Cthulu. Pick the greatest of all evils this time?
