So. According to alot of freaking people, dead and alive, the end will be on Dec.21st 2012. The Nostradamus book indicates the end being 2012, the myan time table says the same thing, and my dad just told me that the bible is coming pretty close to summing up the mystery. Planets aligning, volcanos errupting, the global warmings, just a few things people are saying will end it all. Who is people? Well according to (
http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2006/10mar_stormwarning.htm) NASA, there will be a solar storm on or around 2012, I found an interesting article here (
http://brookenney.com/2012Group.htm) which is all about 2012. It may be a Y2K type thing, but I find it a bit odd that my dream has been to experience global chaos. It's how I would want to die.:ebil: I won't say I doubt anything but my hopes are high!
Comments and opinions?
Sorry for skipping the entire thread, but...
The Bible actually says that (paraphrasing) 'no one knows the date or the hour' of the second coming.
But it does say that towards the end there would be 'wars and reports of wars, famine, earthquakes' and lots of other stuff that is
mostly already happening today (again paraphrasing).
Thus, if you believe the Bible, you could conclude that the end is pretty near, but how near no one could tell you.
That is all ;)

'wars and reports of wars, famine, earthquakes'
Wars existed since the earliest cilvilisations(maybe before, even), famine is a constant struggle in some parts of the world, and earthquakes are registered by the dozens each day.
Thus, even if it's paraphrasing, this would also mean that the end of the world would've come thousands of years before the birth of Abraham.
It's always funny how 'end of the world' stuff falls down under scrutiny.

I probably suck at paraphrasing... it's been a long time since I read that particular passage.
And if you look closely you'll see I used the word "mostly"... i.e. there's more to it, which hasn't happened yet.
