as when the magnetic north/south poles switch all digital comunicaton ceases to exist, stuff like mobile phones and digital comunication doesn't work due to the high amount of emc pulses being pumped around the earth, plues this will cause places like the supervolcano like yellowstone park to erupt, which will make mount st's hellens look like a teacup.

Right, when the magnetic poles will switch though you better hide for a long time before it happens and after, since we know the magnetic field is diminishing, we'll receive first the deadly solar radiation as is, no protection at all, bye bye humans outside and plants and animals, it will slowly climb back to normal after the magnetic pole switch, but in the meantime living outside should be a suicide. Technology is going to be the least of your problems.

PS : Cut the crap already about the magnetic field. Its power is NOT diminishing. The dipoles are. And even if the magnetic poles switched tomorrow(which can't physically happen), you'd only notice it with a compass pointing to a different north than usual.
