Participating teams are
Czech Republic, Spain, Sweden, Croatia, Germany, Australia, Cuba, Canada, Great Britain, China, Chinese Taipei, Puerto Rico, Netherlands Antilles, Japan, U.S.A., Mexico, Rep. South Africa, South Korea, Nicaragua, Venezuela
Team U.S.A. competes in Group E and lost against Venezuela yesterday after a tying Grand Slam forced them into extra Innings. The game China against Venezuela just started and tonight at 7 pm (MET) USA will play Germany.
I´m really exited, this is the first big Baseball event in Germany. Well, that´s if you don´t count the Baseball demonstration game at the Olympics 1936 in Berlin. Baseball here is a marginalized sport with an average of 300-400 people watching 1st League games. Now the finest stadium in Germany has been reconstructed to hold up to 10.000 people. Must be great to play infront of such a huge crowd.
Two of my teammates made the German roster, another one plays for Great-Britain. One of them got to close the game against China yesterday. Hope to see more of them...

Team USA lost to Venezuela? Let me guess, it's not stacked full of big name, professional ringers like all the US teams during the olympics.
...then again, it could be.
Those Germans sure known how to keep a crowd captivate.
