It's the elephant trailing the ass, ladies and gentlemen! Aaaaand comingupthefiresprintwesee Baldwin! Baldwin trailing the elephant, but making great time! Elephantrunningoutofbreath, assisgainingtractionfloatingonpixiedusttrails, BaldwinstilltrailingelephantwithNADER, Nader close behind, followed by McKinney... and way, way, way behind is Barr!
*crowd cheers*
EDIT:
If Obama supported freedom/liberty instead of warfare/empire, I might have been able to have that goosebump feeling of voting for the first black nominee as well, but I cast my write-in for chuck baldwin. Constitution-1, Tyranny-5,000. Yes, I keep score.

Warfare ... empire?
Bwa-hahahahahahahahaha
Kaleid on 4/11/2008 at 18:32
"PNAC" + "Full spectrum dominance"..
If that ain't imperialism then gosh darned I do not know what it is. I doubt Obama will tame the industrial military complex.

So yeah, getting back to reality after Stereoprismatic's bib-drooling intermission, anyone want to toss their electoral predictions on the ring?
My call (
http://squappity.blogspot.com/2008/11/election-predictions.html) as of yesterday is Obama: 353, McCain: 185.
This assumes that Obama carries all the Kerry states (260) plus NH, CO, NV, FL, VA, OH, and NC (353).
Anyone else?
Edit: just noticed that today's fivethirtyeight.com poll update backs my prediction to the state. This was my call first, damn it!

Seriously, how completely fucking awesome is that, considering my grandfather was a card carrying member of the KKK?
Have you wondered if he would be rolling over in his grave fett?
Matthew on 4/11/2008 at 19:30
Yeah ... in the first video he only refers to the use of strong diplomacy, and in the second I skipped ahead to the part about Ron Paul advocating issuing LETTERS OF FUCKING MARQUE - oh but then of course, the US never did sign the Declaration of Paris, did it? - before I dismissed it out of hand. Your attempt to paint Obama as a bloodthirsty warmonger = not a success.
No offence son, but my nation actually knew how to build an empire. This? It is not that.

Hi guys !
I´m brazilian, living in the South Hemisphere...
I know how powerful a POTUS affects the entire world, so...
I really, REALLY HOPE for Obama.
He views Latin America without cold war glasses.

Umm ... don't go there.
Why not? Many rational people have been speculating about such things for months now. This is an historical election within a highly charged atmosphere, and such concerns shouldn't just be chalked down to some sort of racial hysteria.

My mom actually said that if he was alive, he'd either be in prison, or Obama would be dead because grandpop would have taken a shot at the guy by now. I believe her. Grandpop was a grade-A asshole/bigot/ignoramous.

Maybe instead of using the next 30 seconds to post, you could look up the word "empire" at dictionary.com, or even in one of those old-fashioned paperback versions that are laying around. It will help you in both this thread and in life.
