There's the thing right there. Divide and Rule. It's a pernicious tactic that is designed to suck the life out of occupied nations, to subdue their ability to organise or rise up; so much so that you can control a large population with only a small occupying force. You all know why McCain and Palin want to appeal to small town 'pro-america' America and why Republican senators are preying on religious fears and uncertainty. Divide and Rule sucks: to practice it, as the Republicans and conservative groups are currently doing, as domestic policy is an outrage. Except in the US it isn't, but it bloody well ought to be.
It's not that the rest of the world wants to see a weakened America that we take an interest in US politics. Right now it's because we don't want to see America crippled and manipulated by divisive, hateful policies. Nighty night America, we miss you. Tomorrow is Tuesday, don't screw up ;)

We need to use less conservative keywords around here to prevent such context ads.
