Yes, gold standards
do constrain governments. That's a good thing.
No it isn't.
Sure, you could argue that governments should be constrained because you don't want an overly authoritative or even totalitarian government if you like, but it doesn't follow that all constraints are therefore automatically desirable. That's called biting your nose to spite your face.

I'm sure you think that that doesn't add to the discussion, but, thankfully, for any rational person with a basic understanding of economics (don't forget dentistry! ), I pretty much just ended the discussion. Run the fuck along. I'm about to go get drunk, smoke some pot and hang out with my adopted Mardi Gras Family, anyone want to tag along?

No way. This thread is too crazy not to host the TTLG election night party.

The Illuminati exist and have influence in most every high office and media outlet on earth, though I don't believe they are the only ones. Every society has a certain ambitious group of people who manifest their influence in certain ways. The Freemasons, Skull & Bones, the Bilderberg Group, The Council on Foreign Relations, The Trilateral Commission... all of these things exist and obviously have vast influence on governmental policy, given their membership. Collectively, I and others call it the New World Order

ME: Barack HUSSIEN Obama
Barack HUSSIEN Obama
Barack HUSSIEN Obama
LOL GET IT?! ITS CLEVER BECAUSE BARACK OBAMA'S MIDDLE NAME IS HUSSEIN AND THAT DICTATOR IN IRAQ HAD THE NAME HUSSIEN.
So amazingly clever and so original too!
How do you guys do it?
God, so funny.
SHEEP: Child killing, terrorist loving socialists don't make good American presidents! Sorry suckers you were sold a bunch of crap...
ME: You'd have to include Reagan the messiah by that logic.
SHEEP: No, the only self-confirmed (or at least affirmed by Farrakhan) messiah is your man BHO. Reagan just so happened to be our greatest president.
SHEEP: you work for ACORN? Maybe a troll on the sites to blabber trivial shiz that make no sense, hmmm sounds like that CHANGE that BHO's been selling. Nite!
ME: Oh I see, Obama has a connection to Ayers, so he's a terrorist lover.
Reagan gave money to Central America guerrillas and that's not suspicious at all?
I speak what I think and that makes me a troll huh?
---------
Honestly, was my point that outrageous?
What does it matter if some person has the same name as another person? Does it have to mean they're correlative?
I don't see why everyone thinks Reagan was so great, either. Far as I'm concerned, he funded terrorists. Whether or not these factions were battling a dictatorship/injustice, I still think they qualify as terrorists.
Am I such a wicked person for thinking this?

If you actually try to have a debate on YouTube then you deserve everything you get frankly

Well, since I'm being discriminated against because of my worldview, I guess I'll do you pinko commies a favor and not speak of the truth about things beyond the national borders. I don't want to raise a ruckus, just wanted to discuss things like a human being. Just stay in your boxes and love big brother. It's okay, ignorance is bliss, right?
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."

Yeah, we know who Cicero is.
Also, you are all kinds of terrible. That quote could be applied by anyone to anyone as a means of demeaning them. Quoting a fucking Roman politician doesn't mean anything, and it certainly doesn't make you any less of a tool.

I look at it from a more Christian perspective, as a lot of what's going on right now is alluded to in Revelation.
And you expect us to try to counter you with rational arguments? Give us a break (seriously, we need one, just a couple
years days.)

I don't really understand why 'spread the wealth around' is automatically taken to mean "PREPARE TO LIVE IN SUPERHAPPY FUNTIME COMMUNIST AMERICA"..I mean, it's perfectly possible to tax rich people more heavily, and use that money to help out poorer people, or fund healthcare initiatives, without instantly forcing everyone to be 'of equal wealth', right?
Ok, maybe the perspective is wildly different from over here in the UK, but still.
