The only reason I posted any of those links was because of how amusing it is to see the same folks both decry and champion equally questionable scoops on the respective candidates based solely on their own partisanship.
Oh, so you were trolling then... :ebil:

I think it's more that the UNIVERSE is trolling right now.
For some slightly different news, the Minnesota senate race is another entertaining one to follow: there's a three way race between Al Franken (yes, good enough, smart enough, people like him AL Franken), incumbant senator Coleman, and some independant named Barkley.
Apparently no one knows wtf with this race because the polls are kind of schizo (although one thing that is clear is that Franken has been gaining) They both have essentially even favorable-unfavorable ratings (that is, the same number of people like and dislike both candidates), so they're both really sitting on tipping points. Yesterday Coleman decided to stop all of his negative ads so we'll see if that makes a difference.
My local races are all pretty boring. The democrats will probably win.
If you want a few seconds of entertainment, here's a pdf of California's congressional districts, they represent what we like to call "gerrymandering": (

I can never decide if 38 or 39 is my favorite, although I have a soft spot for 23 since I lived in that one for 6 years.

Unfortunately TTLG is not representative of the majority of the US. :(
Not to mention all of the old people and hardcore rednecks who have little knowledge of what this so called "Internet" is. Mostly right wing, presumably.
It is through my observations that internet polls bear absolutely NO resemblance to actual polls. Just look at Ron Paul...:erg:
Heck, even a poll amongst schoolchildren is a more reliable way to predict results than the internet.

I'm going to vote for the black guy to assuage my white guilt.

Yeah Black people, after this we're even! And turn that radio down, nobody wants to listen to that shit!
heretic on 11/10/2008 at 18:02
Yes, because apparently Obama is so inglorious that his race is the primary factor to consider when voting either for or against the man.
I will readily admit to finding Bear's caption quite amusing though.

I hate to say 'if x candidate wins I'm moving to y', but I'm mildly considering moving to some other country, or doing JET for a year, and a bad president would encourage that......
I have no idea though, I haven't graduated yet.
Oh, and Obama, not that it really matters, since my state always votes democrat as far as I can remember.
I think Washington voted for Bush in '88.

I'm not voting for either of them, but I always buy a gun as a consolation prize when a Democrat wins a presidential election. Obama is so far left that I've decided to buy two.
