Sadly I forgot about this and have to watch it in the Past Broadcasts section (Half-way through atm.). I'll follow the channel so that my email gives me a heads-up about part 2. :)
Gotta say, watching you guys talk about the game and its development while playing it is just fucking cool. I particularly enjoy hearing you describe the programming and all the restrictions you had to work around back in 1994. I'm a novice programmer myself with a very very basic understanding of how games function behind the scenes, but lack the historic details about how things were 20 years ago, because I was only 6...
Btw, will SS2 get a similar 20 year old celebration in 2019 by the SS2 team? :p
EDIT: Just got to the part where you talk about that, hopefully the SS2 team will be up for it.

Twenty years, my goodness! I am watching the playthrough on YouTube, and I gotta say you certainly die a lot. :D
Somebody needs to get this game fully playable on GOG and Steam.
I'm really enjoying this commentary, and am now starting Part 2!

Ok folks, it looks like we are going to resume the game on Sunday, same time, same channel. Spread the word.

I'll definitely be watching the youtube archive over the next few days.
Since when did youtube videos make the jump to 1440? Until these videos I hadn't seen the res available go that high.

The complete 7-hour long video of MAHK's gameplay synchronized with real-time text chat, with sound compressed and denoised a bit, is being uploaded on youtube at the moment! 62 gigabytes in total, will take some time for youtube to process the recording.
(http://youtu.be/-LDiTZ89j-Q)The original sound was so quiet, and the death cinematic was about to kill your ears every time. I've used a compressor to make the quiet sound some louder, but still not as loud as cortex reaver appearing :)
It took several days to render it on my Core2Quad Q9650 with Quadro 600 (used CUDA to unload the cpu).

MAHK & co: This is awesome. You guys (continue to) rock. Thanks so much!
Oh my god. Cyberspace is playing Conway's Game of Life on the walls?!? And you can set the cells by shooting. That's brilliant!
