We cannot let the rampaging admins scare away our resident authority on keytar virtuosity.

Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Ayreon, and Opeth :ebil: are my favorite bands at the moment. Their side projects are pretty good as well. If you follow these bands you know several members of the bands have all collaborated with each other in some way or another. :)
I like your faves too. What about the criminally underheard Arcturus?

It occurs to me that the reason Dream Theater has never made it in the mainstream is their conspicuous LACK of a keytar player. Fuck Jordan Rudess! Bring on the keytar guy!!

I've never heard Arcturus before last week, yet you are the second person in a week to recommend them to me. The first was in another music thread on a different forum. Am checking out their samples on (
http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=1255) ProgArchives right now, and may look for more samples as well. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Yeah, Dream Theater is definately great band but not my favorite though (that position goes to Opeth). My favorite DT album is Awake and then comes Images and Words. Octavarium on the other hand isn't very good album but I still have high expectations for their upcoming album. Now DT has also found new label home which is Roadrunner Records and their new album called Systematic Chaos is coming out in June. :thumb:

Was listening to Images & Words when I dropped by this forum!
Dream Theater......
First heard about them only 2 years ago. Ended up buying ALL their albums, including Liquid Tension Experiment 1 & 2, and the amazing live Petrucci/Rudess duet (Hang 11 is stunning).
Bought all their DVD's as well.
Listen to them almost daily, their catalogue never gets old.
Favorite album: Awake
Favorite Song: Well... Endless Sacrifice is great, but so is Space Dye Vest.
There's tons of diversity in their music, it almost never gets old.
And if you are into numerology, check out Octavarium.
