Too easy? Remember there is no flashlight in SS2, darkening too much would make you unable to find the way out of the darkness.

I'm fairly sure SS2 has enough ambient light for you to be able to see (faint outlines) in pitch blackness, unlike in Doom3.

That kills the point of being able to shoot out lights.

I remember one stage in the BotM where all I could see was black, and the targeting outlines around the spiders I was shooting.
One of the best battles I had, that one. :sly:

We thought the cargo bays were scary before, what would happen if the power went off while you are in there? I'd probably get a heart attack. :eww:

I found the Cargo Bays (and the Engineering Deck as a whole, for that matter) to be more annoying than scary.
Bjossi on 31/3/2007 at 15:22
Why is Engineering annoying? It sucks that you meet enemies that aren't as easy to kill eh? ;)

The protocol droid crates were annoying as hell (eventually I just avoided combatting them alltogether) as well as the radiation-filled tunnels, not to mention all the laser turrets. Also it felt the most "isolated". I prefer Deck 5 above everything ;)

Fighting those crates is as useless as maxing out repair skill, just ignore them. ;)
But if a prot. droids decides to burst out of one, then take care of it with an armor-piercing bullet.
Sangman on 5/4/2007 at 22:12
Of course, but that early in the game I didn't have much ammo (I mostly shot my AP bullets at the laser turrets).
It was a really good feeling to finally be able to get up to Deck 3 ;)
Also now that I'm thinking about this -- Once you find the code to the maintenance shaft you'll find this Maintenance Robot walking around on Deck 2, right? And because you're low on ammo at that time you'll probably be hitting it with a wrench.. Anyway, when it dies, it seems to respawn IMMEDIATELY. Seemed a little weird. Just heard a big bang and then heard the familiar robotic noise behind me again.
