No, it's to purge the radiation that's still affecting your body.

Exactly. Using a rad. hypo while inside the room will do no good because the radiation poisoning will be back in no time. Though using a hypo can be good at times when you are starting to lose a lot of health per moment, which is gonna happen in BotM even with the radiation suit on.

my god this game is HARD (tho i am playing on hard... :)). I'm down in the cargo bay areas searchign around and all my ammo (and i had a load of it) has pretty much gone taking out these shotgun hybrids and suicide droids which are faster than me. I think they respawn but Im not sure..i think they can HEAR you move as well. If im walking or crouching going forward i dont think they notice as much which I wasnt doing much:erg: It is pretty creepy hiding from one behind a desk and watching em stumble past ya hoping they dont notice :thumb: Does anyone know if the dark makes a difference like in the Thief games?
One think that i dont like (apart from the map which sucks, you cant change levels to see any notes you've left) is the quick save. IT DOESNT WORK! When I quick save and quick load in the same area its ok, but when I quick save, leave to another area, and then quick load, it loads the start of the new area Ive just entered:mad: Anyone know why? Im using the SS2 mod manager to start the game if that makes a difference.

Use the wrench to kill the shotgun hybrids. ;)

And dodge the protocol droids. ;)

Yes, it does.
SS2 has a full stealth implementation, the same as in Thief.

By default, the quicksave key just uses the autosave slot, so autosaves overwrite it.
Manually change your keybindings to use 'shk_save_game 15' instead of 'quicksave'.

If you kill the hybrids with the wrench, spending one armor-piercing bullet once in a while doesn't hurt.

Then you think they would say that in the manual and also have a crystal light/dark thing in the game itself. and also let you shoot out lights!
thanks for the quick save fix:thumb:

Shooting out lights would have been pretty cool, I had never thought of that, strangely enough. :p

With shootable lights it would be pretty cool to have a flashlight thingy (like in Unreal). It would then discharge and you could recharge or find/buy new flashlight batteries.

Sounds like Doom3.
Shootable lights would make the game too easy. As it is, the stealth system is, puposefully, of fairly limited use because the ship is well lit and there's no visibility gem, and the AIs' visions and hearing differ anyway.
Being able to sneak too much would partially change the game, so that you are no longer the hunted, but the hunter.
