You are a well-trained, highly-decorated, elite warrior, and have been tasked with saving the world...
Now here's a pistol with half a clip. Go get 'em!

You're all going to hell for pointing out stacks of crates and exploding barrels as annoyances. Straight to hell with the archviles and cacos. I swear.

I know nothing about 9mm, but shotguns don't make you deaf. The very few firing ranges I saw were meant to make deafening sound when you fire a gun: they're big hangars without any acoustical cushioning; even the side panel separating each gunner reverb the gunshot straight into your ears.
I think it is a mixture of the gun itself and how used to things you are. My cousin is in the army and he has been using his machine gun for so long that he is pretty much used to the sound. His hearing isn't perfect, but he also isn't as affected by the large explosions and pops of explosives and gunfire. My sister on the other hand went to pick me up at a shooting range and was complaining of being deaf for hours afterwards.

Rats are large enough to carry away medium-sized dogs, and they love the taste of human flesh.
Also: Arachnids are huge, but flies and other insects are not.

You do realize that your "annoyance" does happen in real life too, under optimal conditions.

Doors that magically open after you kill a boss.
Like after you beat The End in Snake Eater. I think even Snake was like "LOLWTF" when that door opens.

Optimal conditions? I said "pitch black" meaning
complete darkness.
I challenge you to provide an undoctored photograph of a pitch black shadow during the daytime, enough for a person to be undetected by another person walking by.

129: Black Reavers and Archliches. God I hate those bloody things. Oh, sure, Summon_Greater_Undead is fun. :tsktsk: But I'm so going to strangle the bastard who thought that giving the former wall-destruction, and the latter incorporeal form would be a good idea.
