2748: You and a friend cosplay as a Hammerite and a Pagan and go chase eachother all over the place.

Captian Vimes: "Your Fiance makes you a complete Hammerite outfit to wear...."
Really? or did you just make that up?
Holy Thief on 16/4/2008 at 07:14
It wouldn't be that difficult to make. Purchase the right armour and cloth, give it a week of professional hand stitching and a finely tuned artistic ability and 'Bob's the brother of ya mother!' :cheeky:

That's right Darling, now when's my City Guard outfit going to b ready?
:)
What with the Hammerite banner and all the paintings from the walls of her favourite missions I bet she's got the most Thief orientated bedroom around!

No no, I wasn't trying to suggest that one can't make a costume, I was just asking if you were making a joke (like theoretically), or if she really did make you a hammerite costume.
I'd love one myself, I wanted to get a professional to make me one. I sent this lady an e-mail with pictures of a hammerite from all angles, but I never got a reply. It'd probably cost a fortune anyway, but I at least was curious to see if someone could do it.:) Man, it'd be so cool to walk around in a hammerite costume.... The only thing is, how would I get such an incredibly long hammer?:p

Try a sledge hammer, no more than ten pounds in weight. They tend to be really heavy and unwieldy with one hand. :thumb:

Yeah, our's is 14lb, and it's a BEAST! Picked it up for a fiver, (that's 10 bucks to you colonial types) at a flea market. Don't expect to wield it like an in game Hammerite though, it's strictly a two handed task! (unless you buy a good LARP replica!)

You men and your hammers! They're always bigger than everyone else's, isn't that right? ;)
Captain Vimes on 17/4/2008 at 07:17
Do I detect a touch of "Hammer Envy"?
:laff:
Hey, it may be big, but it was cheap!

:wot: Then either the hammers from thief are really really strong! ..... or they just carry replica versions :cheeky:
