2677: You write fanfiction about Garrett and Viktoria hooking up because, face it, even if she is made of wood, she's the only available female character.
.....nah it would be far more like thief if you made a fanfiction about how Garrett stole (heh heh) Basso's girl.

no, Guys, remember cargscleft?! Freeing Basso would give a VERY great compensation from Basso's
Sisterso maybe there was a seecret affair...
2678: You change the windows sounds, or any other OS's (and if it doesn't have any you work hard on its code so that it has some) with Karras' Speeches and laugh every time windows has a Critical error, no bettere you can't wait for it to hear the old voice saying "a malefunction, a malefunction, a ...malefuuuunctioooon" so that you laugh your soul out. But the better part are karras' sermons and you actually belive in what he says...
2679:
Note: righthanded version, if you're lefthanded just cut your right arm off.
You cut off your left hand (and always look in the mirror so that it looks like the right hand, giving you still the chance to play your thief games) and put a long hammer on it...
Why?! What can you do in such a situation?! What a stupid question, Itr's obvious, so that you can hammer in the morning, hammer in the afternoon and hammer in the evening all night long! Because you always have a hammer with you and you don't even have to hold it straight as the models of the first two chapters (they must have more muscles on that arm than in any other part, or maybe they've planted some mechanism under the armour)
2700: You learn how to use Glyphs and rewrite all the books of the games in "Glyphish" just to keep them in your seecret library
2701: You actually have a Noble title on your adress and at least 3 bedrooms and a throne room with a sceptre, and you pay a lot of guys to watch the inside
and the outside (You taffer! because there's the people you have to worry about) and at least one of them
must be called Benny (if not you can call them randomly Benny as a nickname)
PS: Remember to lock all your wine, and not only the golden bottles in a place unreachable from those guards...

BASIC? Oh man, the nightmares of trying to do that... Say, what language is Thief programmed in anyways?
Sry i havent replied in a while, my other comp was goin nuts and the one im on now just got fixed.
As an answer to your question, Thief 1/G/2 were programmed in C++ using COM, and Thief 3 was written under the Unreal engine, which has its own language.

#2705: You try to port other games into the Dark Engine.
#2706: And you're successful on numerous occasions.

Unreal engine is written in C++. The scripting language it implements is used at the level editor level (for level scripting, most surprisingly). Many of its commands are just wrappers for a bunch of C++ classes.

Huh... I guess it is true, C++ is the god of all programming languages, no?
Peanuckle on 18/9/2007 at 19:05
'Tis a useful one.
Would it even be possible to port different games to the Dark Engine? That would be friggin awesome. Legend of Zelda Thief style!
Furthermore, why is it that games today use the Unreal engine? It's got good graphics, but It's just not suited to this kind of gameplay methinks. Lazy programmers...
#2706: You have at least 1 GB set aside for FM's only.
