Here's what it looks like for me...I don't know if it might have to do with the fact that I didn't disable some enhanced texture pack or something, I'm ready to get yelled at for that, but I usually don't bother unless the mission looks really off, and this one looked gorgeous as it was, didn't really notice any oddities at all really, and the AI worked fine...no idea why it's behaving so differently on my install of Thief 2...it's been a couple of years since I installed it but pretty sure it was just the standard Gog.com one

For the second time : STOP THIS NOW!! You are wasting your time.
T2 and TG share the same engine so, the game can read the mission and its own provided files, so it doesn't crash.
BUT it's not because it DOESN'T CRASH that it means it WORKS.
Actually It has absolutely ZERO chances to work because the files of T2 and TG are NOT the same.
- T2 and TG doesn't have the same base gamesystem (ie dark.gam) so properties of objects and AIs are not the same, some entities could even be just undefined and then vanish or use models that the game doesn't have.
- T2 and TG doesn't have the same scripts (despite having same name, the content is not the same) so some game mechanics might not work properly from a game to another. Some scripts class are even ABSENT or RENAMED.
- T2 and TG doesn't have the same motions. It means some AIs could play a T-Pose animation or just freeze.
- T2 and TG doesn't have the same models so it means some objects and AIs CANNOT appear since those are not present in the game files
- T2 and TG doesn't share the same textures so it means some textures are missing, which is the reason you can end with blue or black surface.
Some Mod Packs are sometimes made to be compatible with the both games so you can sometimes eventualy end up with some textures (sometimes even models) which are luckily present in those packs and then display a few textures and ais which are not supposed to be present in your game, but not all and certainly not the right settings, nor gamesystem, scripts and motions.

Wait, you want to say that it's possible to play T1 mission on T2 just because you have installed enhancement pack with both T1 and T2 graphic. I never knew about that. Then again, I never used enhancement packs. But if that's true, then could it be possible to play T2 mission on T1 just because you have enhancement pack installed. If so, it would be really convenient for people who have only one game instead of both.
Well, that's really crazy.

Am I a joke to you or have you all decided to ignore my replies?
I can't be more clear.

That's exactly the reason I'm telling Toulomme to not do that...
Spreading bad habits... Now I oversee already some players losing themself in some TG missions threads wondering why it's glitchy, or why they can't go further, and hardly accepting explanations about the issue coming from playing the mission with the wrong game just because of "But it worked with other missions!"
TG and T2 doesn't have the same resources and even if modpacks can provide some of the missing resources from a game to another, it doesn't always provide everything and some of these missing things can just make the mission impossible to complete.
Actually, I was maybe exaggerating, there is maybe ONE chance to make a TG map working with T2 BUT if and only if it covers these conditions :
- The mission should provide its own gamesystem
- All key items and important AIs should have their models either contained within the map's resources or mod packs or be present in both games
- The scripts used by the mission for important events or to complete all the goals must be provided with the mission or luckily use scripts provided by the two games (with of course the same effects)
If at least one of these conditions is missing, congrats : you'll play a mission you won't be able to win and you will notice it after spending hours on it.
And these conditions are just about being able to win the mission :
-> it doesn't prevent the mission to have AIs not working, broken game mechanics or missing textures thus making your game winnable but way less enjoyable if not almost unplayable/too easy.
If by chance you find out such a method make you able to complete Alcazar and maybe several other missions with T2, fair enough, it's your lucky day, but please : do not do that systematicaly as you are guarenteed to play someday a mission in which you'll not be able to tell if the issue comes from that method or the mission.

The reasons why I skipped your post are:
1) You made super angry post.
2) Your explanation is based only on your knowledge, but you didn't check how it works in practice. Situation where mission for TG works correctly when loaded in T2 works correctly is new and it deserves proper testing made by someone who knows technical stuff.

I completely agree, I wish there was a prim and proper testing so we can find a fail-proof method completely block such tentative in the future.

Do you even know who you're talking to?

Pardon me? This was just a second warning a bit more insisting because the first one which was correct has been ignored as well.
Also, I've been in this community and modified the both games with either OldDark and NewDark versions for 10 years now as I almost know per heart every properties, links, common scripts and objects to the point it's not rare I receive messages from other authors for help about how some mechanics, resources, etc.
I've even read Shadow's pawn and Telliamed notes on several subjects such likes scripts and models.
I also read the leaked Dark Engine source code to know better how the game works in matter of hardcoded stuff.
About FMs and install, my knowledge is good enough I think since I'm able to add keybinds that doesn't exist, mess with Dark.cfg to push the Ids limits and update my newdark without the help of any installers.
So actually, lil' buddy, I think I do have the technical knowledge to speak and certainly way, way more than you do.
You think I'm an amator? It's the prove you know absolutely nothing about me and post random things without having a clue about what you're talking about.
Seriously, before posting such a stupid reply, you better have to think for a change instead of encouraging those who actually don't really know how the games work to mess with files and games at the risk they break everything,
instead of trying to look smart by telling those who actually do know better than you they're wrong without any argument nor knowledge to share.
(And yes : this time, this is a real angry message because you're just being rude for nothing now.)

@Firemage: Read my post more carefully. I didn't said you have no knowledge, I just said that nobody tested how TG missions will behave when loaded in T2 using enhancement pack. There was no need to check it before. Until now. That's why testing is needed.
Edit: I realize right now that maybe you misunderstood the part of making testing by person who has technical stuff. It wasn't towards you, but rather towards me and other people who doesn't have any technical knowledge. It would be really hard for me to do that. Also from your post I understood that you don't care about this situation and would avoid it. That's fine, but maybe there is someone else with technical knowledge who would be interested in doing some testing.
