There seems to be a trend of little weekend activity. Monday morning should bring another big bump up. Meanwhile, if we can get word out to the dark corners where the taffers be hidin'. I don't know where else to go with it, myself.

Did anybody else plan on buying the new xbox rumored to come out in November?
I'm selling my old one and buying the new one later whether or not I plan on buying Thief 4 to it, so I can prepare for the next wave of games lol.

https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/7364510464/hD1619B8B.jpgWhile I was spreading word of this petition today(I'm starting to feel like I'm an evangelist going to knock on people's doors lol) I figured that since we are well over 10 people here on the forum, and we're (I suppose)pretty committed to spreading the word, what better way to spread the word than to make a meme or two and together vote them up on the meme sites' frontpages like memebase.com so people can see?
And we can add the link to the petition in the description and ask them to ask their friends to sign etc.
But we would have to be careful not to annoy the masses with tons upon tons of memes so it doesn't end up like "Oh,more Thief nagging?Bleh..*Ignores*".
But we can make some memes and put them up here and then maybe vote to find a few which are the funniest, and then I'll submit them to various sites and give the link so we can vote them up?
Just a suggestion. What do you all think of the idea?

That picture rocks!!! Sometimes when I come to TTLG, I see something that makes me smile to myself very warmly. This reminds me that the spirit is still very much alive.

How much is a console for Thief likely to cost? I was between computer upgrades when TDS came out, and I bought an xbox just to be able to play it(my first console since owning an Atari 2600:D). I'm sort of in the same situation again, not ready to buy a new computer or massively upgrade what I have now. Most likely, I won't be buying Thief when it comes out but will end up playing it a couple of years down the road.

Do you mean the Xbox 720 and/or PS4? I just read an article that said 'it seems likely that the Xbox 720 will start at a price of around the $300 mark, with more technically advanced versions fetching up to a maximum of $500.' I also read (more speculation, btw) that the PS4 will be starting around $699 and the technically advanced versions can go as high as $900. I haven't heard anything concrete-for-sure-without-a-doubt yet, but then again, I prefer to play my games on my PC and don't really intend on buying either the Xbox 720 or PS4 so I don't follow every news release regarding either. My information regarding those consoles could be woefully out of date.

Ouch, where did you hear/read that? Everything I've seen says it'll run somewhere in the $300-500 range. Sony made a big mistake when they released the PS3 at $600 and no one bought it, and I've seen several articles make reference to the fact that they won't make that same mistake again.
