Yeah, it's funny, while watching the Eurogamer demo at one point, I imagined SR doing one of the voices instead of Romano, and I think EM really missed the boat on this one. They could have given New Thief some instant credibility by simply using the guy who's always played Garrett. Instead, we're left to criticize every line Romano speaks, and decide on whether it measures up to his predecessor or not.

I think the game will be postponed from February, 2014, to, say, Summer or even Autumn, 2014. Don't ask me why do I think that, let's call it a hunch :). As you all taffers know, a few days ago EM has decided to get rid of XP, so maybe it's time for us to lobby Stephen Russell as Garrett even more? I know what some of you will say: "It's not a Thief game, it's a NuThief!" Perhaps you're right, perhaps you're wrong.
But it doesn't matter for me, because if we, the community, still have an opportunity to make the game better (no matter how bad or good the game looks), I think we shouldn't give up. What do I mean? This petition, of course. 5381 votes is good, but it's not enough to make EM hear us. What do you think guys?

I think it's a lost cause. At this point I'm really rather glad Mr. Russell isn't involved with T4. EM is gonna do whatever they think will make them the most money on this game, and if that means turning it into an RPG/FPS/MMO then that's what they'll do. Any changes made to the game's development at this late stage would be solely for the purpose of increasing sales (in accordance with their Marketing Dept., of course); sadly, we Taffers just don't have the numbers for our input to really matter.
