Funny video but it always bothers me that someone takes the time to make a parody video yet can't be bothered to proofread the text for the one minute it takes to sort out spacing issues and outright misspellings. Then again I don't think english was their first language to begin with.
It does sum up the reactions of a good portion of the hardcore fans though :laff:

Regarding the petition, has anyone considered a good, old fashioned letter writing campaign directly to Square? Just bypass EM altogether and maturely and respectfully detail why nuThief represents an aberration to the legacy of Thief. Link to the negative reviews, etc. etc.
The Japanese have a cultural predisposition to "saving face", and highlighting the disappointment of the fanbase to them directly, rather than focusing all the energy on EM might be a better way to go. Think that's an uphill fight? Just look at Final Fantasy XIV to see how they respond to fan backlash.
Sure, the Thief fanbase is much smaller than Final Fantasy's, but at this point, what's to lose?

Either way, jtr7, sure maybe, in a way, me as well. Many fans out there openly admit that replacing Russell is pointless even moronic, and Im sure at some point or other they felt in a primal way what the video depicts. It is hilarious, especially the opener where the uneducated gamers must leave (but can still hear right outside the door).
