@ iceman, did you get a chance to see anything of Underworld Ascendant?

I've not watched the conference to the end yet. Will note more details when I've watched the rest.

Which is the entire reason I didn't want to have anything to do with Quantum Break. CONTROL looks promising though, and I did have fun with Alan Wake.
Hey, it's only hours of cutscenes. :D
Yeah, I can get why that would be off-putting, but I'm an MGS veteran, so story stuff is fine as long as it doesn't bore me to death. QB almost got there in the first few hours with its TV episodes, but then it evens out to something of an enjoyable B-television show melded into a game around halfway through, so it's pretty fun if you're able to stick that.

While I utterly dislike how Naughty Dog's been using violence in their titles, this is what I like about new levels of violence in video games.

As usual, real innovation happens in the indie sector.

More PC show stuff:
Games:
* Genes
* Star Citizen
* Two Point Hospital
Too many battle royale style games. Zzzzz.
twisty: No Underworld Ascendant stuff sadly.
Tech:
* ACER - Some nice tech shown off
Lots of sexual innuendo jokes (some on stage and some by the female co-host). Did not expect that. Definitely aimed at a more mature crowd.
So a more low key style conference, but worth watching with some good bits in there.
Sony Conference:
Games:
* Call of Duty - I'd never play this game. But that intro needed Freak on a Leash by Korn as the music for it. It COMPLETELY rips off their music video, with the bullet flying along.
* Control
* Death Stranding - Great to finally see some gameplay. Nice music.
* Ghost of Tsushima - Nice looking game.
* Resident Evil 2 Remake
* The Last of Us 2 - Dayam. This game looks amazing. Very life-like with the way that the enemies operate and talk to each other. I really need to play the first game.
Nintendo Conference
Games:
* Daemon X Machina - Some nice heavy metal music in the background. Looks good.
* Pokemon games - Before Pokemon Go I'd kept away from the Pokemon games. The new Switch Pokemon games offer linking into Pokemon Go. That's awesome. Pokemon controller ball looks good.
* Super Smash Bros - Wow they REALLY go on and on about this game. 40 minutes. I skipped it all as I don't care about the game. Played it on n64. Was alright.
Overall - Very light on content. Not much variety. Wayyyyyyyy too much time spent on Super Smash Bros and Pokemon.
And with that I've now watched them all. I'd order them from best to worst:
1. Bethesda
2. Ubisoft (close second)
3. Sony
4. Microsoft
5. PC Gaming Show
6. EA
7. Nintendo

Another one that might be worth watching for.

Here's some gameplay from Control. Looking pretty bizarre, but in a way that I absolutely want to know more about it.

Also, you can clean someone's clock by sending a clock into their face. With your mind. This is gonna be my game of the year unless there's, like, a Homeworld sequel or something.

Really interesting. I got the same vibes I got from INSIDE, which is a good thing. I think games should place us in bizarro worlds like this more often.
