Maybe some news on Stalker 2? Yeah, whatever.

Only things that come to mind are Cyberpunk 2077 and Pathfinder: Kingmaker, if that's even on the books, I don't know. Some tepid curiosity regarding Fallout 76, but if it is online-focused that's a pass for me.

Seeing as I lived for a year on Tsushima, I have pretty high expectations about its ghosts.
I don't know if Last of Us 2 can capture the spirit of the original, but I still expect it to be good. (Doesn't matter if it's not coming out on PC as I won't be able to play it anyway.)
Paradox is supposed to be announcing two new games. So I'll pay attention to that.
Edit: Nevermind that was PDXCON not this, and Vicky 3, the one I'm wishing for, wasn't in the line up (but a new Rome is). Ah well.

Upcoming open-world VR action game from the developers of Ratchet & Clank and Edge of Nowhere.

Looks good!
And here's a game about fighting a killerbot invasion in 80's Sweden. The gameplay looks rather straight-forward and unspectacular, but I do appreciate seeing a Scandinavian setting in an action game for once.

Between this and Rage 2, Avalanche is keeping busy at the moment!

Yeah, okay. That's pretty rad.

It's kind of weird to still see Japanese in cyberpunk. I mean, not that I'm complaining, but in the 80s it was influenced by the seemingly unstoppable economic success of Japan, which is not really the case now. If anything, I expected it to have been replaced with Chinese. It kind of feels like a relic from the past, rather than something that speaks to the here and now.
I got the same vibe from seeing how popular Ready Player One was -- there are a lot of things created today that seem to be catering to pure escapism and/or very specific nostalgia, rather than addressing current issues in any way. Is it that we lack coherent dominant narratives to tap into or what?

Well, Cyberpunk 2077 is based on the 80's pen and paper rpg, so Japanese kinda makes sense in this regard. I really hope this is good because I cant think of many decent "cyberpunk" games.Maybe Deus Ex but that wasnt exactly cyberpunk in my mind.
